Cyber Security Specialist Job Description
* This key role plays a vital part in ensuring the security governance, risk management and compliance framework of customers.
Responsibilities:
* The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, standards and frameworks according to regulatory requirements.
* Regular security audits will need to be performed.
* Identification of cyber security risks and implementation of security controls will also be crucial.
* Key responsibilities include vulnerability management and threat detection, as well as security event log monitoring.
* Development and maintenance of a comprehensive Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization (Accreditation) documentation suite will also be essential.
* Security control effectiveness will need to be assessed.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in cyber security/information technology or relevant experience is required.
* At least 5 years' experience in cyber security risk management/policy development/governance is necessary.
* Strong knowledge of security audit/documentation development/vulnerability management and security event monitoring is required.
* Industry certifications like CISA/ISO Lead Implementer/Auditor are desirable.
* Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail are also essential.

The ideal candidate will be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
