Executive Director Medical Services Position Overview
MEDICAL JOBS AUSTRALIA invites a seasoned clinical leader to drive the future of regional healthcare in one of Queensland's rapidly developing regions as Executive Director Medical Services.
The role is based at Rockhampton Hospital, the region's major referral hospital, and requires a commitment to enhancing the quality and sustainability of medical services across our network of over 20 facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a workforce of over 458 FTE professionals across the regional and remote network.
* Develop and implement strategies for a sustainable medical workforce by overseeing recruitment, training, and education functions.
* Establish and nurture internal and external partnerships with hospital and health services, primary care networks, and the private sector.
* Participate in the Senior Medical/DMS on-call roster and adhere to credentialing processes, including regular scope of clinical practice reviews.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) requirements.
Qualifications:
* Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification for AHPRA registration.
* Possess fellowship with an Australian Medical Specialist College.
* FRACMA desirable but not mandatory.
* Be capable of practicing clinically (0.2 FTE) in a recognised specialty with Central Queensland Health.
* Hold current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
* Be actively enrolled in an ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
