As the state's only Sports College, Darling Range SC provides specialist programmes in Australian Football League (AFL), Athletics, Baseball, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Swimming and Rugby. Complementing our sporting programmes are extensive opportunities to participate in the Academic Challenge and Enrichment Programme (ACES), the Music Programme, the Vocational Educational Programme and the Arts Programme.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic leader. Working closely with Student Services, the Executive and wider administrative team, the Program Coordinator – Student Services will oversee and guide a team, fostering staff cohesion and capacity building. The role includes implementing Department of Education policies related to attendance, behaviour and wellbeing. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal communication and time management skills, and the capacity to lead and work as part of a busy, dynamic team. Knowledge of case management of educationally at‐risk students, including effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies, and experience in developing partnerships with external agencies, is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will take ownership of promoting and maintaining aspects of the school culture that encourage and support positive relationships and active engagement between students, staff, parents and the wider community. The applicant should build the professional capacity of the Student Services Team by providing high‐level support and guidance, leading mentorship, coaching and management, and implementing effective proactive whole‐school initiatives. A pastoral care capacity is highly desirable.

Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
