This is a Social Worker Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

About The Role
As a Level 3 Social Worker, you will deliver advanced clinical services across both hospital and community settings, working with patients, clients and families with complex needs. You'll collaborate closely with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues, while also being connected to the wider Social Work network across the district.
In This Role, You Will
Provide psychosocial assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Contribute to discharge planning and complex case discussions within the hospital setting
Support individuals and families experiencing crisis, trauma, domestic and family violence, child protection or guardianship matters
Work collaboratively with community partners to ensure coordinated, person-centred care
This position requires strong clinical judgement, adaptability and the ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
About You
You hold a Bachelor of Social Work (eligible for AASW membership) and bring experience working with complex presentations. You are compassionate, confident in your practice, and committed to culturally respectful, trauma-informed care. An understanding of rural health practice will be highly regarded.
