The Opportunity The University of Newcastle Research Excellence Fellowships aims to attract, support and empower world-class researchers. This prestigious program will accelerate innovation, collaboration and excellence by welcoming Fellows into strong research teams with demonstrated ability to nurture the next generation of research leaders and deliver outcomes that matter. The University will offer up to six (6) Research Excellence Fellowships to join one of our world-class research environments. About the Role The Fellowship includes a Level B-D academic salary for four years, with the fourth year subject to performance, and a one off $50,000 in start-up funding. There is an expectation that the Fellows must submit competitive fellowship applications within the first 12-18 months in the role. About the Global Sport and Movement Collaborative You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to harnessing the power of physical activity and sport to improve health, wellbeing, and social outcomes. Our researchers have achieved national and global impact by shaping physical activity policy and leading the large-scale dissemination of evidence-based programs in schools and sporting organisations across Australia and internationally.
