The US business - with offices in Charlotte, NC - operates with support from TOOLPORT’s global headquarters in Norderstedt, Germany.About the RoleThe Business Operations Specialist will support the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the business through a variety of assigned daily and weekly tasks. This role will also be cross-trained on key tasks of the Controller and will provide limited backup support for select customer service functions. The position will work closely with both internal and external business partners.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Coordinate the management of freight claims (inbound and outbound freight).Creation of customer credit memos and warranty claims at the direction of management.Execute customer returns processes and returns tracking – including review of returned goods for disposition.Monitor and, under the supervision of the Controller, process credit memos and customer refunds.Export, format and distribute daily / weekly reporting.Maintain key sales reporting files, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.Support the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Complete select HR administrative tasks such as distribution of benefits information and employee handbook updates.Support project management of key initiatives / development projectsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Applicants must be legally able to work in the US without sponsorship and reside within a reasonable driving distance of the company location (Charlotte, NC).High School / GED. BA/BS preferred.Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a professional setting with responsibility for operations and/or administrative tasks and duties.Working proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and others required. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications preferred; Specific knowledge and expertise in SAP and CRM / Dynamics 365 highly preferred.Additional InformationThis role is initially planned as a part-time position (up to 30hrs / wk) with the potential to expand to full-time as the business develops. The hourly pay for this position is $18-$20 per hour. We use this range in good faith to plan for the role.
