About the role
As the Project Officer you will work on several programs supporting a director on a range of activities for a project. You will work across procurement, project planning, contract management, budgeting, document preparation, and system support. In this role you will also provide support for committees, working groups, meetings, and workshops.
Responsibilities
Collate and edit meeting papers, submissions, briefing notes and consultation documents.
Provide secretariat support for committees and expert groups
Coordinate project management activities and monitoring projects.
Coordinate procurement, contracts, financial administration, and budget monitoring.
Collaborate with a variety of internal and external teams to meet all project goals.
Analyse data, reports, and expert opinions to support project development.
Update written resources for internal and external audiences.
Engage with stakeholders and team members.
Experience
Previous experience working in a Project officer role
Previous experience supporting Program managers or Directors
Must have experience in the Government sector or with working with Committees and a strong understanding of government processes.
Experience in secretariat support and project management, including the ability to manage, and report on, budgets.
A demonstrated ability to produce high level documents including briefing papers, reviews, submissions, correspondence and meeting papers that clearly communicate complex issues in a manner appropriate for the audience
Demonstrated experience in Contract management, and in in procedural procurement processes. .
Project management experience to coordinate a range of competing projects.
Strong stakeholder communication and engagement experience.
