About the role
Join the Schools team of Human Resource specialists known internally as the Employee Engagement Department. The team is dedicated to providing a full range of HR services to all our employees across 4 campuses and developing processes and systems to enable effective and optimal HR service delivery. We want to deliver exceptional customer service and are comfortable with innovation / trial and error whilst always seeking to develop and streamline with a focus on continuous improvement.
With varied responsibilities in a typical day you might :
Participate in an interview panel for a Gardener Teacher Marketing professional or any of our diverse positions
Review the Enterprise Agreement or Award to answer a query about terms and conditions
Collaborate internally on a policy or project under development
Plan an induction or other training sessions
Creatively develop a strategy to attract boarding staff
Complete a proposal to pitch a new idea that you have
Conduct a misconduct investigation
Prepare a return-to-work plan
Meet with a team member who would like to explore flexible work options or who is seeking advice on how to have a challenging conversation with a co-worker; and / or
Work with a Manager to plan the follow up session for their teams engagement and wellbeing survey results
About you :
Critical thinker dynamic problem solver known for your grit
Enjoys variety and thrives in a dynamic fast paced and busy work environment
Can have a laugh and work well with the team
Proactive in your work and can be equally flexible between strategic operational and administrative modes while maintaining a relationship focus
Takes initiative to uncover all information in ambiguous and uncertain situations
A strong knowledge of industrial and employee relations
An ability to lead and coordinate projects
A strong understanding of organisational development and talent management
Experience in developing policies and procedures
A positive attitude and an authentic passionate resilient courageous curious and compassionate character
Your high level interpersonal and relationship management skills customer focus and ability to fulfil multiple functions concurrently and effectively will enable your success in this position
