**The Role**
This role is accountable for a variety of activities including site management, future planning, contributing to the development of processes, engagement with stakeholders, resolving complex logistics problems, training and mentoring staff, managing workflow and the provision of advice on logistic and inventory management activities. The role is responsible for coordinating the work of an integrated team of APS, ADF and Industry partners and providing technical and procedural advice to team members on warehousing and inventory matters.
**About our Team**
The team is an integrated team of APS, ADF and Industry partners who provide logistics operation in support of Defence activities in the Tasmanian and Southern Ocean region. The team is responsible for warehouse and distribution, inventory and cache management for Defence dependencies as part of the wider Joint Logistic Unit Victoria.
- Be experience in an inventory management or warehousing environment.
- Be a skilled operator in complex Warehouse Management Systems (SAP) e.g. MILIS.
- Be able deliver customer focused logistic outcomes.
- Have sound judgement and ability to achieve results.
- Have effective communication including an ability to support productive working relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Have the ability to lead and develop a team.
