This is a contingent position based upon contract award.
What You'll Do
* Plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope.
* Provide technical guidance, review design drawings, and manage design services operations including proposal creation, work plan creation, client relations, oversight, design reviews, construction documentation/specification development, QA/QC, technical excellence review and fee development, and management of performance.
* Perform code analysis, construction phase shop drawing review, and assembly of requests for proposals, change orders, and closeout documentation.
* Bottom-line responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project.
* Responsible for all phases of project planning and execution.
* Day-to-day contact and communication with the client and a focus on client satisfaction.
* Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
* Perform field-related work, collect design information, and verify designs for tie-ins, function, and clearances to existing facilities.
* Ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
* Assist in the preparation of project reports.
* Work with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate new designs into existing facility models.
* Check the accuracy and quality of drawings developed by drafters.
* Produce quality drawings.
* Assist in presenting 30% 60% 90% design reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams.
* Other duties as required.
Requirements
* Must be a US or Australian citizen
* Must have a US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance
* Must have a minimum of a BA/BS, from an accredited institution, in Architecture
* Must be a Licensed Architect
* Must have a minimum of ten years of experience in architectural design, with at least three years in a senior or lead role
* Must have extensive experience in project management, including overseeing design processes from concept to completion, and a proven track record of successful project delivery, particularly in large-scale and complex projects
* Proficient in architectural design software, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant tools; knowledgeable of building codes, standards, and regulations
* Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced design technologies
Qualifications
* 4-year Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College/University
* 10+ years of experience as an Architect
* Licensed Architect
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
