ABOUT THE POSITION
In this Estimator role, you will collaborate with the estimating and project teams to prepare precise tenders and cost estimates. You will gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and budget forecasting, while developing the expertise needed to advance into a senior estimating position.
DUTIES
* Prepare tenders, take-offs, and cost estimates
* Review supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive proposals
* Work with senior estimators to develop budgets and cost breakdowns
* Maintain accurate project cost records and assist in bid presentations
* Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure project success
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Previous exposure estimating commercial fit-out and new build projects is advantageous
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
