About the Role

We are seeking a Tooling and Fabricated Products Lead to join our team based in Henderson.

In this role, you will provide specialist engineering support across mould tooling design for the production of GRP and rotomoulded parts that support complex project and production environments.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with end-to-end accountability for the production tooling lifecycle, from design and commissioning through to maintenance and eventual decommissioning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external fabricators, and supply chain partners to ensure tooling and fabricated solutions are safe, compliant, fit-for-purpose, and delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

* Manage the full life cycle of buoyancy and roto moulding tooling from design and commissioning through to maintenance and decommissioning
* Manage external fabrication processes and collaborate with third party providers to ensure quality machining and tooling design
* Assist with the assessment and selection of suitable design and manufacturing approaches
* Provide technical assistance to the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of project resources
* In collaboration with Process Engineering, drive process and tooling design for the production plant in line with engineering standards, regulatory, HSE, and risk management requirements
* Identify safety and quality risks and work with stakeholders to eliminate or effectively control risks
* The role also includes some design engineering tasks with skills in the use on SolidWorks and FEA preferable


About You

To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in tooling, fabrication, and manufacturing environments. You’ll bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset and are comfortable working across design, suppliers, and operations to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will have:

* A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* At least 8 years’ experience in the design, development, and verification of mechanical components and sub-assemblies within a manufacturing environment
* Experience using solid modelling program such as SolidWorks or Inventor
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal, time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Experience with AutoCAD will be highly regarded.
