About The Role
The General Services Manager is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing various non‐clinical aspects including Catering, Cleaning, Laundry, and Maintenance. The role contributes to the overall quality of life and well‐being of the resident and supports the smooth operation of the Residence.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Catering department, ensuring the provision of meals and dietary services that meet residents' nutritional and dietary preferences.
* Oversee a team of Cleaners and Laundry attendants, ensuring services are hygienic, clean and exceed resident expectations.
* Oversee the Maintenance department, prioritizing requests and ensuring repairs meet or exceed resident expectations.
* Manage external contractors, ensuring legislative and contractual requirements are met.
* Ensure extra services meet Arcare's offerings, resident and family expectations and contractual obligations.
* Develop and manage budgets for your remit, ensuring cost‐effectiveness and proper resource allocation.
* Supervise and lead non‐clinical staff, ensuring proper training, performance evaluation, and staff development.
Skills & Experience
* Ability to manage and lead teams.
* Comprehensive understanding of the aged care industry, including regulations, compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging trends.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong problem‐solving skills.
* Experience managing staff in aged care or a similar industry.
