This new 40 place centre based in the Hurstville area is run by a small team of caring, professional staff. Every person who works for us is dedicated to seeing your child blossom.
Our centre philosophy has been developed in conjunction with both educators and our personal family morals where we believe all children have the right to feel safe and secure while we provide a warm and encouraging environment to inspire your child to develop at their own pace.
We acknowledge that each child is an individual who needs to be supported in a fun and stimulating learning space to explore, imagine and most of all have fun Through play, children can learn about the wonderful world that surrounds them, develop their problem-solving skills and express their feelings and ideas so they can grow socially, cognitively, emotionally, physically and morally. In doing this we aim to assist your child to develop a positive self-concept and attitude towards learning and play.
We believe all children should be given assistance to understand, appreciate and respect various social and cultural diversities within their community. We as caregivers and educators aim to extend on the child's home experiences therefore a close liaison with parents is essential to us. We encourage parent participation and involvement forming an essential partnership that must exist between home and childcare.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Working across all rooms when needed as a responsible person (2IC) to the director in accordance with the requirements of Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.
**Duties also include**
- To ensure children's wellbeing, learning needs and interests are addressed through a high quality education
- Meet and Greet families, children and visitors at the service
- Rostering, administration and enrolments
- Manage incoming/outgoing phone enquiries
- Assist the service manager with conducting tours
- Assist the service manager with interviews, phone screening, references and finalising new starters
- Manage family accounts
- Compliance documents within the service
- Assist on the floor when required
- Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
**Essential**
- Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
- Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Minimum 2 year experience in leadership role
- As a 2IC the ability to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF;
- Sound understanding of National Education and Care Service Regulation;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
