Civmec are currently seeking Advanced Painter Blasters based at our state of the art facility in Tomago Newcastle where you will be working on a variety of complex and high-profile projects, you will gain hands on experience and work within a world class team.

The Role

* Mobilise and demobilisingblasting hoppers/spray pumps and encapsulations
* Abrasive blast, ranging from a whip class SA 3 on ferrous and nonferrous substrates using both garnet and steel abrasives
* Hand/Mechanical preparation of repair areas using orbital sanders and MBX's
* Brush/Roll stripe coats as required
* Using mainly airless spray, apply up to 5 coats systems required DFT's/specifications
* Application of inorganic zinc's, epoxy zinc's, high build epoxies, antifouls and acrylic polyurethanes
* Remediate areas marked up by quality inspectors to meet the requirements of clients' specification
* Keep a safe and tidy work area and product storage room
* Perform other general duties if required


About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

* 3 - 5 years' previous experience within the Industry
* Airless spray and blasting experience
* High Risk Work Licence - LF & EWP (preferred)
* Working at Heights (preferred)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
* Willing to travel to our Tomago facility
