About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across our workforce. Working closely with the General Manager - Payroll, you'll handle payroll administration, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards.
What You'll Do:
* Process payroll for wages and salaried staff across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles
* Maintain accurate employee records and payroll transactions
* Provide payroll-related reports and reconciliations
* Interpret and apply relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and employment legislation
* Assist with superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax processes
* Offer payroll support to managers and employees
What You'll Bring:
* Demonstrated experience in payroll processing (experience with iChris/TIMS Payroll is highly desirable)
* Ability to manage payroll in a complex environment with a mix of casual and permanent staff (300+ employees)
* Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems
* Sound understanding of employment legislation and award interpretation
