Our client the Gawler Civic Centre is seeking an Event Support staff to provide general event support to Centre operational staff particularly during set-up and pack-up of shows, events and exhibitions, but also during shows and events.
It is a causal role at the events during the Fringe festival.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work autonomously on many occasions to set-up, re-set and pack-up various event furniture and equipment as required and instructed.
- Provide professional, friendly, prompt and courteous customer service to all customers and hirer groups.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with Town of Gawler staff, hirers and customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Supervise, or assist to supervise, some venue hirer bookings or various shows/events/exhibitions, as required, including securing/arming the building and its plant/equipment, from time to time
- Bar shifts if required
**About You**:
- Experience in working in an Events / Function facility is desired.
- Understanding of events, shows and exhibitions coordination is desired
- High-quality customer service skills and a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually under mínimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
**Qualifications and experience**:
- Manual handling Certificate/Experience
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- DCSI / WWCC Employment Screening
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (desired)
- Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training (desired)
