We are recruiting an Assistant Director to lead the Flinders Ageing Alliance, reporting to the Professor of Health Services and Epidemiology.
Base Pay Range
A$144,******/yr - A$152,******/yr
Part-time 0.8 FTE | Fixed Term until December ****
Higher Education Officer Level 10 | $144,266 – $152,903 p.a. pro-rata
Responsibilities
Oversee strategic initiatives, business development and engagement with Alliance members and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement research strategies to position the Alliance as a critical source for governments and other stakeholders, supporting Alliance members by identifying research opportunities addressing national gaps in care for older people, including investigator-initiated, government or stakeholder-initiated research.

About You
We are looking for a candidate with evidence of managing or establishing a Research Institute or Research Centre and experience conducting research activities while managing partnerships, projects, teams, resourcing and budgets within the research space.
Postgraduate qualifications and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and education/training.
Understanding of research activities, including the development and management of research partnerships, projects, teams, resources, and budgets.
Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives, sharing responsibilities and contributing to organisational success.
Experience driving system and process improvements, collaborating with external partners to achieve optimal business results.
Prescribed Conditions for Employment
Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check satisfactory to the University.
Require a current Working with Children Check satisfactory to the University.
Staff working in a health care setting strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with SA Health policy.
