**About the role
This role will lead the strategy development, establishment and/or enhancements of the contractor management framework, management systems, and associated work in new and existing businesses across Woolworths Group. This will be achieved in partnership with Business teams and in line with the Group SH&W Strategy. As the Capability Lead (Manager), you will:

- Carry out checks, stress tests and audits (as part of a cycle of continuous review and improvement) to verify that contractor safety procedures and controls are in place are effective and compliant with all the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Pre-empt and define the behaviours, organisational pressures, aspects of the FMCG and retail environment, and system implications that cause risk to the business, individuals and communities as they relate to contractor safety management..
- Combine market-leading risk based thinking with the ability to create practical tools and techniques that proactively identify and address behaviours that detract from effective management of risk.
- Refine and lead our Contractor Safety Management strategy and roadmap F24 and beyond to manage material safety risks within the agreed Woolworths appetite, along with ensuring the Contractor Safety Management System (i.e., Pegasus ) meets the requirements of Woolworths SH&W or an acquisition's roadmap for integration (if the business is integrated into Woolworths).
- Support and coordinate governance activities, including monthly and quarterly business planning and performance reporting to provide oversight of the integration roadmap and escalation of any outstanding issues.
- Lead and and coordinate the development of required business management systems and ways of working relating to contractor safety management.

**About You
You will have strong relevant experience and the ability to build contractor management systems and make a positive impact on our communities and sustainability initiatives. You will have:

- At least 8 years in dedicated safety role
- Strong industry experience directly leading or involved in safety and health in a maintenance and construction environment (or similar complex environment), including Principal Contractor arrangements
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and operation of externally hosted contractor safety management systems, including prequalification, control of work systems, critical risk controls, incident investigations, assurance and performance management advisory.
- Familiarisation and a strong aptitude for relevant legislation and regulations across the core jurisdictions that Woolworths operates
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
- A strong background in complex, fast-moving organisations
