Transportation Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and enjoyable transportation of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Parking and loading/unloading equipment and resident shopping onto the bus
* Folding and unfolding mobility aids as needed
* Accompanying residents on outings to ensure their safety and well-being
* Providing assistance with simple mobilization, including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)
* Reporting back to staff regarding interactions with residents and any notable discussions or concerns
* Delivering exceptional customer service to residents and colleagues alike
* Ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and best practices at all times
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A valid MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less
* Previous experience working with lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)
* A current Police Check and NDIS Worker Check (valid within the last 3/5 years respectively)
* Up-to-date COVID vaccination evidence and recent Flu vaccinations
