The department is seeking multiple Senior Test Analysts to work across multiple sections in the Chief Information Officer division. Grants Platform The Grants Platform is seeking two Senior Test Analysts to support the Business Grants Management Platform. These roles are essential for ensuring the platform’s quality and reliability. Successful candidates will work with the team to understand requirements, develop test cases, and perform manual testing, helping to uphold high software standards and best practices. ICT Enterprise Projects The ICT Enterprise Projects section seeks a Senior Test Analyst to join its delivery teams and ensure high-quality digital solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross functional teams to understand requirements, planning and performing manual testing, managing test plans in Azure DevOps, documenting defects, and verifying that solutions meet business requirements and standards. Key duties and responsibilities The duties & responsibilities Review business and functional requirements and collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to design thorough test cases and scenarios. Conduct manual testing across web-based applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests to ensure the software performs correctly. Follow best practice standards to identify, record, and track defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring all test plans, cases, summary reports, and traceability matrices are clearly and accurately documented. Communicate testing progress and issues effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to support timely resolutions. Help maintain test environments and test data. Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Suggest and contribute to the implementation of process improvements. Work collaboratively to update supporting project documentation. Validating that the digital products conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Essential Criteria At least 5 years of experience in manual testing across a broad domain, including but not limited to desktop applications and cloud-based platforms. Demonstrated expertise in developing detailed test artefacts, including the creation, review, and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases, as well as formulating effective test strategies and managing defect tracking throughout the testing process. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and productively in a fast-paced environment and within a cross functional and geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated ability to understand Agile principles and actively contribute as a collaborative member of an Agile team, supporting iterative development and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. Desirable Criteria Experience with either testing grants administration or financial management systems will be highly regarded. Experience with accessibility and usability testing practices. Understanding of government digital service standards and compliance requirements. Exposure to automation testing tools, or a demonstrated willingness to learn automation.
