Pfitzner Performance Gearbox (PPG) is an Australian-owned and operated company producing superior quality after-market gear sets and components for high performance vehicles. PPG has a state-of-the-art production facility equipped with the latest machines and technologies.
PPG has a long term vision for growth; with recent investments in new machinery, an expanded facility doubling our manufacturing floor and new internal management.
We are super excited about 2026 and are currently seeking applications for qualified CNC Machinists/Programmers/Operators with positive and professional mindsets looking for full time, long term, stable employment. Initially joining the team of qualified machinists, you will be supported by management and fellow peers for continued development.
PPG has continually developed from within, with multiple team members working with PPG for 10+ years as they gain experience through the company. Further management & team lead opportunities may be available for person/s showcasing the desired skill set.
Team members will be working with the following equipment & systems:
Mazak Lathes, Integrex I200-S, Mori DMU75 MonoBlock, CMX-600Vi, HyperMILL, Cylindrical Grinding and Gear Cutting Machines as well as many others.
Responsibilities
* Program, set and operate CNC machinery
* Machine Parts to the required tolerances
* Follow quality and workshop procedures
* Maintain machines, tools and working area
* Work as a team to achieve the set goals
Experience & Skills requirements
* Have good communication skills and the ability to work with people across all levels
* Must have a thorough understanding of machining processes, equipment technology, shop procedures and how to read drawings
* Skills and experience in the use of CNC Machines
* Skills and experience in the use of computers and CAD/CAM Packages
* Must have at least a trades person certificate in the mechanical engineering field
* A keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
* Understand and demonstrate safe working methodology
