We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary School Heath & PE/Outdoor Education Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.
Essential skills:
- Applicants must hold a tertiary-level undergraduate or approved postgraduate teacher education qualification. Successful candidates will demonstrate strength in the following areas, aligned with national teaching standards:
* This position requires experience in developing and implementing innovative curricula in Physical Education and Outdoor Education.
* A strong understanding of SACE and Australian Curriculum as well as establishing quality teaching & learning environments is essential.
-Developing effective relationships is at the core of teaching; the ability to do these while maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement is vital.
-A strong work ethic and high level of personal organisation are paramount.
Required experience:
Across career stages, candidates should demonstrate at least 12 months of full-time experience in:
- Evidence of effective teaching practice
- Engagement in professional learning and collaboration
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Documenting program objectives, collecting and analysing data of student outcomes - reporting to site leadership, parents/caregivers, services, and agencies.
