Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 20% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position on a 7:7 rotating day and night shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.
As the Boilermaker, you will be responsible for ensuring all routine and non-routine maintenance activities for the Fixed Plant Maintenance department are appropriately undertaken so that work is completed on schedule in a safe and efficient manner.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
* Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on all fixed plant mining equipment
* Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with them
* Ensure compliance to the work management process and capture related transactional data into SAP system
* Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
* Experience working in a Fixed Plant environment
* Ability to draw and interpret simple engineering drawings
* A team player with good communication skills and willingness to step up
Qualifications for this position are:
* Australian Trade qualified Boilermaker (Required)
* High Risk Work Licence: WP, LF, DG & MR preferred but not essential
* Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
* Current Drivers Licence
