The Role

Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an energetic and motivated Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher who is committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes for all students to join our high-quality regional school.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate strong professional knowledge, effective teaching practices, and relevant experience in delivering an engaging and relevant secondary HASS curriculum. In this role, you will be expected to build positive and productive relationships with students, and work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.

A commitment to creating and maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment is essential, along with the ability to deliver educational experiences that empower students to reach their full potential.

A willingness to teach across multiple learning areas—predominantly within HASS—is highly regarded, as is the ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

About The School

Narrogin SHS is a genuine comprehensive educational institution on a whole school improvement journey encompassing Fogarty EDvance. Our Business plan commenced last year with a clear direction based on student outcomes. We have a strong academic focus reflecting the aspirations and desires of its contributory community, an outstanding sporting record, and a long-standing commitment to ATAR program.

The nostalgic two storey structure of the school has pride of place in the town and has been built on the highest point in the district with sweeping views of the town and the hinterlands. An extensive building program has resulted in a new Hospitality Trade Training Facility, a new Administration building, and new state of the art Music and Performing Arts centres. Narrogin SHS also draws students from all directions including Boddington, Wickepin, Pingelly, and Wagin.
