Job Title: Civil Engineering Draftsperson (ANZSCO
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Beenleigh, QLD 4207 (Hybrid: Office + Work from Home)
Salary: AUD 80,000 – 100,000 + Superannuation

3. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate technical drawings and detailed documentation for civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, subdivisions, earthworks, and utilities.
- Interpret architectural and engineering designs, specifications, and sketches for the preparation of conceptual and final design plans.
- Liaise with engineers, surveyors, contractors, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
- Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation) to produce 2D and 3D models for civil infrastructure projects.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation adhere to Australian Standards, Local Council, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and amendment of project documentation throughout various stages—planning, design, and construction.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all drawing iterations and ensure version control procedures.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute technical input to design reviews.
- Provide technical support and guidance within project and drafting teams.
- Support quality control processes and participate in compliance audits as required.
4. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
- Proficient in CAD drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
- Sound understanding of civil engineering principles, technical standards, and construction methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of Australian drafting standards and codes (AS/NZS).
- Ability to interpret plans, technical drawings, and written specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid office environment.
- Working rights in Australia. Company may offer sponsorship for right candidate.
5. Desirable Attributes
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and 3D visualisation software.
- Working knowledge of drainage, stormwater, and road design.
- Familiarity with council approval processes and statutory documentation.
