We Are Looking For
Bright, friendly and professional team players, quick learners who will always put our patient’s needs first. Your daily tasks will be varied, including (but not limited to):
* Working across hospital reception desks and admissions offices
* Responding to patient enquiries
* Preadmission and discharge of patients ensuring accuracy of data and patient confidentiality
* Completing health fund checks and seeking consent forms
* Calculating accurate estimates of hospital related expenses
* Daily banking, receipting and reconciliation
* Patient Management System reporting
* Publishing theatre lists
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar administration role with a strong customer service focus
* Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word and Excel
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment
* Experience working in a team environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multi-task
* Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster with early starts commencing 5.00am through to late finishes 7.30pm
Desirable Criteria
* Demonstrated experience using medical software, for example WebPAS
* Certificate in Medical Terminology
