Commencing in June2026, for a period of two years, we arelooking for a Civil Design Officer Trainee to join our organisation.
In this role, you willwork within our Design team to assist with the delivery of civil engineeringdesign projects, provide accurate and efficient design documentation and advicefor projects and works which are compliant with relevant standards,legislation, and budgets. A key part of your role will be to prepare conceptand detailed design plans including use of 2D & 3D modelling forminor/simple civil infrastructure projects.
About You
Tobe successful in this role you will possess:
- Eligibility to complete a traineeship (please read role charter to make sure you are eligible before applying)
-Genuine interest in civil design and engineering
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
-Willingness to learn and demonstrated initiative
-Provisional or full licence by the commencement of employment (June 2026).
This is a full time, temporary role working a 35-hourweek, with a salary range of $36,800.40 up to $49,280.40 per year + 12% super.Commencing salary is dependent on age and/or previous education.
Council also covers the cost of all TAFE fees,pays you to attend TAFE and study, and gives trainees access to staff benefitssuch as flexible working arrangements & fitness passport.
