SHAMELESS MEDIA BRANDED SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE JOB DESCRIPTION

THE OPPORTUNITY

Shameless Media is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Branded Social Media Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with around a year or two of experience who is ready to step up and specialise in sponsored content across social platforms.

ROLE PURPOSE

Shameless Media is one of the country's leading independent media brands, home to a roster of highly engaged audiences across shows like Shameless Podcast, Style-ish, Everybody Has a Secret, Inherited, and The Shameless Book Club .

This role sits at the intersection of social, content, and commercial. The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing brand partnerships to life across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms, ensuring sponsored content feels engaging, seamless, and true to the Shameless voice.

You'll work closely with the Partnerships and Editorial teams to plan, produce, and deliver high-quality branded content, while maintaining the trust of our audience and delivering on client objectives.

ROLE DETAILS

Job title: Branded Social Media Executive

Reporting to: Head of Social & Partnerships Strategist

Location: Cremorne, Melbourne

Type: Full-time

WFH split: 4 days in-office, 1 day from home

Experience: 1 year in media, PR, marketing, or social media

Preferred commencement: July 2026

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sponsored Content Execution

* Responsible for coordinating and executing sponsored content across all Shameless Media pillars and their respective touchpoints (podcast, social and newsletter).
* Write clear, compelling copy for branded posts that aligns with both client goals and the Shameless tone of voice
* Ensure all deliverables meet agreed timelines, specifications, and quality standards
* Up-to-date understanding of the rules and regulations of posting sponsored content

Content Planning & Production

* Summarise client briefs into a read-to-record document for internal team members to refer to as their source of truth. This document should capture key messaging, dos and don'ts and provide creative direction on the look and feel of content (visual and written) when necessary.
* Build and maintain detailed content calendars for branded campaigns
* Schedule content plans with internal teams on shoot planning, talent coordination, and content production
* Schedule and coordinate shoot planning, talent coordination, and content production with contractors
* Manage end-to-end timelines across multiple projects, from briefing and production through to internal review, client approval, and final publishing.
* Briefing and coordination of freelance contractors
* Edit video content (podcast cutdowns, paid campaigns, short-form social)
* Familiarity with shooting video and static content specifically for social media

Campaign Ownership & Delivery

* Take ownership of campaign logistics from briefing through to final delivery
* Act as the key coordinator across internal teams to ensure smooth execution
* Quality-check all sponsored content before publishing to ensure there are zero mistakes (copy, tags, links, deliverables)

Performance & Optimisation

* Monitor and report on campaign performance across platforms
* Identify opportunities to improve engagement and results for brand partners
* Manage reporting of engagement tracker for sponsored content across social and newsletter platforms across all Shameless Media pillars
* Support post-campaign reporting and insights

Community & Brand Alignment

* Support community management on sponsored posts, ensuring responses are timely and on‐brand
* Ensure all branded content feels authentic and aligned with audience expectations

Team Support

* Assist the Partnerships and Editorial teams with content creation and campaign execution as needed
* Contribute ideas for future branded content and social formats

RELEVANT SKILLS

* Strong interest in branded content & influencer-style marketing : You understand what makes sponsored content feel natural, engaging, and effective on social media
* Highly organised : Able to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
* Exceptional attention to detail : When working on client‐facing content and deliverables
* Proactive and solutions‐focused : You take initiative and look for answers before escalating
* Confident communicator : Able to translate briefs into clear actions and collaborate across teams
* Time‐management & reliability : Consistently meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
* Platform fluency : Comfortable across Instagram, TikTok, Canva and emerging formats, with a strong sense of what performs well
