Job Description
RSR Consulting Ciao Café and Cakes Queanbeyan is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals while maintaining food safety, kitchen hygiene, and operational efficiency. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced café environment while ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation standards.

Supportive and collaborative kitchen environment. Task & responsibilities Select, prepare and cook a variety of meals according to recipes and menu specifications. Prepare ingredients, sauces, fillings and other components required for cooking.
Ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard in accordance with café quality expectations. Monitor cooking processes and adjust temperatures and seasoning where required. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Store food and ingredients in accordance with food handling and safety guidelines. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health regulations. Assist with stock control, food preparation planning and waste minimisation.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and food safety standards. Qualification & experience Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification, or
At least 1–2 years of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Good teamwork, communication and time management skills.
