Speech Pathologist Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team in Broome, WA. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver community-based care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults and children.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide assessments and therapeutic interventions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for holistic care, educate and empower clients, families, and carers, develop and coordinate care plans and referrals, maintain compliant case documentation, and promote Speech Pathology services internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and support for clients.
3. Educate and empower clients, families, and carers through effective communication and coaching.
4. Develop and coordinate care plans and referrals that meet client needs and preferences.
5. Maintain accurate and compliant case documentation to ensure quality service delivery.
6. Promote Speech Pathology services internally and externally through networking and outreach activities.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A degree in Speech Pathology and current registration with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Speech Pathologist.
* Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with experience working in remote or Indigenous health settings.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
