Job Title: Forklift Operator
Mildura Fruit Juices Australia (MFJA) is a major fruit processor with a thriving company culture that values collaboration, innovation, and employee growth. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Forklift Operator to join our team.
About the Company:
MFJA commenced trading in 1970 and provides juices, concentrates, cut peels, oils, blends & bases, confectionery, sauces, pulps and purees to the beverage and food service industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications and company standards.
Ensure all items are securely packed and labelled correctly for dispatch.
Assist in putting stock away and organising the inventory to ensure it is easily accessible and accurately recorded.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to the Dispatch Team Leader.
Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Verify product quality and quantity before shipping.
Liaise with Logistics Coordinator to schedule dispatches and the Weighbridge Coordinator for deliveries.
Ensure all necessary shipping documentation is complete and accurate.
Operate hand-trolleys, pallet jacks and other mechanical or power-driven lifting or handling devices not requiring a licence.
Report any damaged or defective items to the production team for resolution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatch processes by providing feedback and suggestions.
Handle hazardous materials, if applicable, in accordance with safety protocols.
Requirements:
Current Forklift license and proven experience
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting
Basic proficiency in using computers and inventory management systems
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift and move heavy packages, as well as operate warehouse equipment
Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and internet systems.
