Murdi Paaki Housing is offering an opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to fill the role of Manager Housing Services.
The Manager Housing Services is responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of housing and tenancy services across the organisation to ensure high-quality, culturally safe, and compliant outcomes for tenants. The role provides operational supervision and support to Housing Services Officers, ensuring staff performance, and KPIs are met while maintaining consistent service standards.
This position oversees key tenancy functions including, rent reviews, rent collection, arrears management, property inspections, and the management of complex tenancy matters. The Manager Housing Services ensures housing services are delivered transparently and in accordance with legislative requirements, funding agreements, and regulatory frameworks including the NRSCH and AHO standards.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead day-to-day delivery of all housing services across the organisation.
· Supervise and support Housing Services Officers, ensuring KPIs are met, training, and performance.
· Oversee tenancy allocations and ensure the allocations process is transparent, compliant, and culturally safe.
· Conduct rent reviews and ensure accurate income assessments and rent calculations.
· Set up rent payment arrangements and support tenants to maintain regular payment schedules.
· Ensure rent arrears strategies are implemented consistently, including monitoring, follow-up, and escalation.
· Ensure inspection schedules are met, including periodic, entry, and exit inspections.
· Manage complex tenancy issues, complaints, and high-risk cases.
· Prepare NCAT documentation, evidence bundles, and scheduling information for hearings.
· Conduct NCAT applications and represent the organisation in tenancy-related hearings when required.
· Prepare operational and compliance reporting required by the AHO, NRSCH and others as required.
· Provide service reports to General Manager and Board as required.
· Support and guide housing staff, ensuring processes, procedures, and service standards are followed.
Essential Criteria
· Minimum three years' experience in housing and or tenancy services
· Experience leading teams within community services, housing or related services sectors
· Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills
· High‑level communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills
· Proven experience developing and embedding operational systems and processes
· High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office and systems)
· Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to show initiative.
· Current and valid Driver's Licence.
· Current NSW Working with Children Check and current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
