About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a dynamic, successful, motivated team based in Mount Kuring‐gai and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. In this exciting role, you will manage and co‐ordinate forecasting and purchasing activities, quality of materials purchased, reliability of supply and timeliness of delivery. The position encompasses the set‐up and management of systems and programs, preparation, planning, implementation, and review of procedures. The Senior Supply Chain Planner works closely with internal departments and external warehousing service providers.
Responsibilities
Client Liaison: Build relationships with internal and external customers, liaison with operations and sales staff to action import and export requests.
Stock Management: Drive the sales and operations planning process, develop inventory and purchase planning, forecasts, batch sizes, lead times and safety stock requirements for various suppliers, and prepare monthly stock reports.
Qualifications
Knowledge of SAP – APO module advantageous.
Experience in S&OP planning meetings.
At least two years of pharmaceutical industry experience or prior supply and/or purchasing experience.
Sound knowledge of importation and shipment procedures, especially in a multinational/multi‐plant environment.
Experience in forecasting strategies.
Good understanding of hospital sales workplace.
Experience in direct dealings and negotiations with suppliers/vendors.
TAFE or degree qualifications in logistics.
