Responsibilities
Maintaining biodiversity sites across Melbourne's parks and gardens
Hands-on ecological restoration and conservation efforts to support thriving spaces
Physical fieldwork in varying weather conditions
Maintaining biodiversity sites through herbicide application, hand weeding, brush-cutting, and woody weed removal
Identifying native and weed species to support ecological restoration projects
Promoting ecosystem longevity through habitat creation and regeneration processes
Managing vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety and maintenance standards
Liaising with stakeholders and assisting with procurement and delivery of supplies
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum AQF 5 (Diploma) Qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science, Horticulture or similar
Chem Cert (Desirable)
Current Driver's Licence
Working with Children Check (Or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of native and indigenous plants, as well as weed species
Demonstrated experience in conservation, land management, or similar roles
Understanding of ecological restoration principles and techniques
Practical experience with brush-cutters, augers, and pesticide application
