About the role
We are actively seeking a lawyer with expertise inAdministrative law to join our well regarded Sydney Public Lawteam. The team is renowned for its exceptional mentorship andpositive culture, supported by encouraging partners. Workingalongside Partner Michael Winram and the wider team, this uniquerole will focus on providing merits review for a CommonwealthGovernment agency.
Day to day you will have the following responsibilities:
* Drafting summaries of evidence and statements ofissues.
* Assisting and attending case conferences and hearings.
* Conducting directions hearings.
* Drafting litigation strategies.
* Complex statutory interpretation.

About you
Essential skills include:
* Approximately 2+ years post qualification experience,ideally with experience in government advisory work, and have astrong interest in administrative law and statutoryinterpretation.
* You may have a background of working in government and bekeen to make your move into a law firm. Alternatively, you willbe doing similar work in another firm and looking for a newopportunity.
* Excellent technical and drafting skills
* An enquiring mind as well as a possessing sound judgementand a can-do attitude
* A commitment to team work and achieving challengingobjectives
* Experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolutionincluding appearances at tribunals and/or court.
* Strong academic qualifications.
