We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team as an Asbestos Identifier. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth, including accreditation and corresponding pay increases.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing samples, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with quality procedures, prioritising daily workloads, and maintaining relevant documentation.
* Prepare and analyse samples using stereo, polarised microscope or phase contrast microscope.
* Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with quality procedures.
* Prioritise daily workloads to meet deadlines.
* Maintain relevant documentation, including analytical results of asbestos fibres.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* 1-2 years laboratory experience.
* Experience with stereo, polarised microscope or phase contrast microscope is desirable but not essential.
* Tertiary qualifications in a related area are desirable but not essential.
* A desire to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
* Dedication to good laboratory practices regarding quality of results and health and safety.
