The Role
As our new Construction Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of residential construction and renovation projects. This role ensures that all works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality and safety standards.
The Construction Supervisor acts as the key on-site contact, coordinating trades, suppliers, and liaising with clients to ensure project success.
The right candidate will share our passion for the delivery of meticulous home transformations with a focus on precision and care.
Essential to this role is demonstrated experience in construction and site supervision along with solid communication skills. As a dedicated and hands-on Construction Manager, you must be a great communicator with the ability to foster excellent relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, motivated and detail oriented.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction and renovation activities
* Schedule, manage, and monitor subcontractors and trades to ensure timely delivery
* Interpret and apply plans, specifications, and construction standards.
* Ensure all works are delivered in line with budget, schedule, and quality expectations
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and workmanship
* Liaise with clients and project managers to provide updates and resolve issues
* Manage site safety, including toolbox talks, risk assessments, and compliance with WHS regulations
* Coordinate deliveries, materials, and equipment to site.
* Identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays proactively
* Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, variations, and defect lists
* Manage handover process and ensure defects are resolved efficiently
About You
* Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Site Manager in residential construction and/or renovations
* Solid understanding of building codes, residential construction standards, and WHS requirements
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Strong ability to manage client expectations and foster positive working relationships through clear communication and a solutions-focused approach
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Clear and professional communication style - written and verbal
* Proficient in site management software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)
* Current driver's licence
Desired Qualifications
* Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
* Supervisor's License up to 2 storey residential construction.
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction
* Proven ability to analyse and interpret building contracts and any other contracts connected with building and design
* Experience in, and a clear understanding of Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management systems
