About you
You are an experienced Chef with a minimum 2 years experience in a similar remote setting.
You hold the relevant qualifications and have a keen eye for detail.
You have a passion for Australian cuisine and have flair to create breakfasts, lunches and dinners using locally sourced produce that compliments both dining in and outside the gorgeous homestead.
You enjoy providing a unique dining experience for a maximum of 10 guests and stepping outside of the homestead kitchen to create high standard of outdoor dining and guest camp packs for offsite walks.
About the role
We are seeking a Head Chef, to lead our small team of Chefs at Arkaba Station, reporting to the Lodge Manager.
In this role, you will curate and deliver a diverse range of dining experiences for guests of the Arkaba Homestead.
From intimate luxury fine-dining services to the preparation of meals for our three-day overland walking safari.
Your work will play a key part in connecting guests to the land, showcasing native and locally sourced produce, and delivering high-quality, immersive food experiences that reflect the distinctive Wild Bush Luxury ethos.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering cuisine of a standard consistent with top lodges across Australia and internationally.
Overseeing the sourcing, selection and procurement of high-quality produce, with a focus on native and local ingredients.
Designing seasonal menus that suit an outback environment, delivering gourmet-level dishes in an unfussy, authentic style.
Providing an informal yet attentive style of guest service that creates a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere in a remote bushland setting.
Effective manage and train a small kitchen team of up to 3 Chefs.
