Aquavue and The Salty Axe are looking for a reliable and hands-on Grounds Person / General Hand to help maintain the presentation, functionality, and overall experience of our venues.
This is a part-time role (20–25 hours per week), working Monday to Friday with 6:00am starts. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our venues are always looking their best and ready to welcome guests each day.
About the Role
Working across both Aquavue and The Salty Axe, you will be responsible for maintaining the buildings and surrounding areas to a high standard. You’ll assist with opening outdoor dining spaces each morning and support service where required.
This role suits someone proactive, practical, and detail-oriented who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the overall cleanliness and presentation of both venues, including outdoor areas
* Prepare and open outdoor dining spaces each morning
* Carry out general repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance
* Identify, document, and report maintenance tasks accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitor the condition of equipment, furniture, fixtures, and facilities
* Support the team with service assistance when required
* Ensure work areas remain safe, organised, and compliant with WHS standards
About You
* Previous experience in a similar maintenance, grounds, or general hand role preferred
* Practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance
* Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
* Able to work independently and manage time effectively
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
* Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to early morning starts
