About the role:
We are seeking experienced MC drivers to join our team for a long-haul run connecting Mt Gambier with Melbourne.
Your day will start in Mount Gambier, travel to Millicent to preload before completing the run to Melbourne and returning with freight back to Mount Gambier.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate Multi-Combination (MC) vehicles on daily return trips from Mount Gambier to Melbourne (approx. 900km round trip).
* Perform load restraint duties to meet safety and compliance standards, with incentives for high-quality work.
* Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain fleet standards.
* Maintain accurate electronic logbooks and adhere to fatigue management regulations.
* Comply with all National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) guidelines and road transport laws.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics teams, and site personnel for seamless operations.
* Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety and exceptional customer service.
To be successful, you must have:
* Current Multi-Combination (MC) driver's license
* Demonstrated MC driving experience, preferably on regional routes.
* Proven expertise in load restraint techniques and chain-of-responsibility compliance.
* Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
* Strong understanding of NHVR fatigue management and work diary regulations.
* Physically capable of performing load restraint tasks safely and efficiently.
* Excellent time management skills and a proactive, reliable work ethic.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
