About the role
Jobwire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Casino, Kyogle and surrounding areas.
As an Assistant in Nursing in this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality healthcare and support to our aged care residents. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients while working in a welcoming and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering personal care to residents
- Helping with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal assistance
- Monitoring and reporting on residents' health and well-being
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for our residents
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- A relevant Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing or similar role in an aged care setting
- Recent paid experience in Australia within the aged care sector within 6 months
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families
- A compassionate and patient-centred approach to caregiving
- Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
