Housekeeping Assistant Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all designated areas within our facilities are clean and maintained to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support residents by cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility, adhering to cleaning and infection control manuals.
* Provide exceptional customer service through interactions with residents, their family, and visitors.
* Safely handle, clean, and use cleaning equipment and chemicals.
* Follow the work schedule and duties of the shift rostered, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry duties.
* Communicate effectively with employees to ensure teamwork and achievement of role objectives.
* Follow safe work practices and WHS guidelines.
* Liaise with the Cleaning Team Leader to ensure timely and professional housekeeping services.
* Communicate empathetically with consumers and their relatives to meet their needs.
* Undertake duties with customers' expectations and needs in mind.
* Consult with stakeholders as relevant to the role, ensuring effective communication with internal and external partners.
* Uphold privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements:
* Previous housekeeping experience.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated high level of customer service skills.
* Current driver's license.
* Current NDIS Check.
* National Police Check (considered relevant outcomes).
