Permanent Part-time Role - 32 Hours per Week

The Recovery Coach/Support Coordinator role involves providing dual services. You will collaborate with various teams, including Customer Service, Product, Business Assurance, People Excellence, Finance, and Peer Work Coordinators. You will be part of the Support Coordination Team, which connects participants with an NDIS plan to necessary supports and services. This team is the first point of contact for NDIS participants, families, and Support Coordinators seeking information about New Horizons or choosing us to provide services under an NDIS plan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide services as both a Support Coordinator and Recovery Coach.
2. Support individuals with psychosocial disabilities to live full and meaningful lives.
3. Assist customers in taking control of their lives and managing daily challenges.
4. Manage and plan your work, meet or exceed KPIs, monitor progress, and take corrective actions as needed.
5. Assist employees with project implementation and key tasks.
6. Authorize and action expenditure within your financial delegation, ensuring compliance with the current Chart of Operational Delegations.
Skills and Experience:
* Engage with mentoring as required.
* Ability to adapt to change constructively.
* Understanding of Coordination of Supports and Recovery Coaching under the NDIS.
* Advanced skills in working with people with Psychosocial Disabilities and knowledge of relevant disability service standards, the Mental Health Act, and other legislative requirements.
* Share your lived or living experience of mental health challenges purposefully and intentionally with customers and staff.
* Seek and encourage innovative solutions, perform under pressure, and maintain resilience.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
Essential Role Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in peer work or mental health (minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health) or equivalent training (e.g., Intentional Peer Support training).
* At least two years of experience in mental health-related work.
* Current Police Check (not older than 3 months), NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check.
* Valid NSW Driver's C class license, with the ability to drive vehicles including large cars and vans.
