Well established luxury builder developer that specialise in the delivery of D&C boutique high end apartment developments are looking for an experienced Cost Planner to join their experienced team.
They have won multiple award and have collaborated with some of the most reputable architects in Sydney.
The Role
This is an opportunity to work closely with the Development, Design and the Construction teams, contributing to project outcomes from early feasibility through to delivery.
You will be involved early in the design process, providing informed cost advice, developing cost plans and estimates, and supporting sound commercial decision-making across some of the most unique boutique luxury developments being built in Sydney.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
* Lead the preparation of detailed cost plans and estimates across all project stages, from feasibility and concept through to construction and final account.
* Setting trade, subcontractors and consultants budgets
* Participating in design meetings and providing budgeting and costing advice
* Provide strategic cost and commercial advice to senior management
* Undertake value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
* Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, schedules of rates, tender documentation and pricing submissions.
* Monitor cost performance, forecasting and cash flow
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
* 5+ years’ experience in Cost Planning or Estimating within the class 2 sector
* Experience working for a builder developer would be ideal
* Commercially astute and detail-orientated
* Excellent skills communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Extensive experience preparing elemental cost plans, BOQs and detailed estimates
* Experience using some of the following: Cost X, Cubit, EstimateOne and Procore
* Highly skilled with cost planning methodologies, benchmarking and rate building.
