About the role
St Mary MacKillop Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated teaching professional to join our Learning Intervention Team. The position is for 0.6 - 0.8 FTE, ideally spread across 4 - 5 days (negotiable), starting as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Learning Intervention Team to implement learning strategies, including:
* Leading small group instruction
* Supporting assessment for learning in collaboration with classroom teachers
* Planning, implementing, modelling, monitoring, and evaluating learning
* Using effective teaching practices to engage students and improve achievement
* Providing regular feedback on student learning to classroom teachers
* Planning for differentiation based on individual needs, analyzing data to assess student progress
* Familiarity with curriculum for relevant year levels
* Collecting and sharing data on student progress
* Considering PLP goals for students and planning accordingly
* Implementing MiniLit/MacqLit Literacy programs
* Implementing Bond Blocks Intervention System in Mathematics
* Teaching classes when intervention groups are not scheduled

Preferred (but not essential) knowledge includes:
* MiniLit
* MacqLit
* Bond Blocks
All applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children, aligning with our community principles.
Special Requirements
* Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (preferable; include accreditation documentation)
* VIT registration (include current VIT registration card)
* Three professional referees, including the current Principal
