About the job Finance Officer (NV1 Defence)About The Role:Finance Officer is providing high quality budget management and expert policy advice through the development and provision of Guidance, Instructions and Training, in relation to procurement and financial management.About You:Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Defence accounting and financial systems functions.Prior demonstrated Defence ERP experience is highly desirable.Ability to develop, implement and review financial policies and procedures relevant to SPO operations.Actively managing key stakeholder expectations and requirements to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.Analyse complex to very complex financial management issues within CAF16, conduct investigations, determine financial risks and apply expertise to design, recommend and implement solutions.Ability to review, develop and implement financial and procurement guidance, processes, instructions and templates to support consistency and financial compliance across the SPO.Ability to undertake financial reporting and analysis to support the SPOD, IPM and Commercial Officers.Demonstrated experience in Defence audit processes, financial investigations and remediation.Provide financial training and/or advice where required and assist with the development of budget estimate documentation and management.Strong written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated eye for detail and meticulous record keeping.Ability to adapt to change and manage competing priorities.Ability to Supervise/Manage a Finance Officer during peak periods.Ability proactively note changes to Finance policy and explain/integrate into SPO/section processes correctly.If this sounds like you, wed love to hear from you.
