About the Role
The Worker Screening Unit is responsible for administering the Worker Screening Act by processing applications for Working with Children Checks and NDIS Worker Screening Checks.
The Manager, Assessment Lead is accountable for leading a team of assessment officers to ensure high-quality and timely assessments and relevant documentation.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Lead and manage daily operations of the team to achieve quality outcomes.
* Develop, document and maintain initial assessment business processes, guidelines and templates.
* Contribute to strategic leadership as part of the leadership team, focusing on performance monitoring, planning and resource allocation in an environment promoting continuous improvement.
* Provide professional supervision to staff, developing their potential through coaching, feedback, training, motivation and mentoring.
* Collaborate with Legal Services to provide operational guidance and inform key policy decisions.
