Job Title: Associate Electrical Engineer
The primary responsibility of the Associate Electrical Engineer is to deliver capital projects and facility upgrades, with a focus on Queensland-based initiatives. The role will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables.
Key duties include:
* Providing technical leadership and collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
* Designing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, with a focus on low-voltage electrical systems, including schematics, equipment layout, motor control centers, and communication systems.
* Creating technical reports and specifications for projects, including design reports, functional descriptions, and technical specifications.
* Applying project management principles to carry out assigned tasks and achieve project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) certification or ability to obtain.
* Relevant 10+ years' experience in Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation Engineering, preferably in the water sector or industrial plant environment.
* Experience with CHAZOP highly desirable.
* Familiarity with industry standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure.
* Strong skills in instrumentation, controls, SCADA, and LV design.
* Applied knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008.1.1.
* Experience with design software such as PowerCAD preferred.
* Well-developed communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
