Our client, Allquip Pty Ltd t/as Allquip Water Trucks, is a family-owned and Australian-operated company located in Rutherford, NSW. With over two decades of industry experience, the company specialises in the manufacture of water trucks, tankers, and slide-in units. They are currently seeking a qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their expanding team, primarily to support the routine maintenance, and mechanical servicing of heavy vehicles used in their fleet production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, and suspension.
2. Perform scheduled servicing and mechanical inspections to ensure vehicles meet roadworthy and safety requirements.
3. Install and maintain water truck components, including PTOs, hydraulic pumps, spray bars, tanks, and associated pipework, as part of vehicle setup.
4. Troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic and electrical faults related to vehicle performance.
5. Prepare and complete job cards, maintenance reports, and parts usage logs with accuracy and timeliness.
6. Respond to breakdowns and perform field service support, ensuring timely fault resolution.
7. Participate in preventative maintenance programs to minimise vehicle downtime.
8. Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop environment following WHS procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Relevant trade qualification.
2. At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Motivated and responsible, able to work with minimal supervision.
4. Strong teamwork skills: the ability to work well with others is crucial.
